Caleb Ballou joined The Rockefeller Foundation in 2017. As Principal, he is responsible for supporting the Foundation’s Program-Related Investments (PRI) portfolio by sourcing, executing, and managing investments that address critical social and environmental challenges at scale.
Before joining the Foundation, Caleb was a Senior Associate at Marakon Associates, a management consulting firm, where he advised Fortune 1000 companies in the manufacturing, construction, and financial services sectors.
Previously, Caleb spent five years in high yield, distressed debt and restructuring as an Assistant Vice President at Eaton Vance in Boston and London. During graduate school, he also spent time with Cornerstone Capital (ESG investment research), Inspiring Capital (management consulting to nonprofits & social enterprises), the Rockefeller Foundation’s PRI team, and with social enterprises in consumer goods (Kopali Organics) and hospitality (Kin Travel).
Caleb received a BA in Linguistics and English Literature from Dartmouth College, MBA and MA (International Affairs) degrees from Columbia, and holds the CFA charterholder designation.
